about Britt
Britt is a Registered Yoga Teacher and Continuing Education Provider through Yoga Alliance, practicing in Quinte West, Ontario, Canada. Specializing in Hatha Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Yin and Restorative Yoga, as well training in teaching trauma-sensitive populations, she has a class that will suit everyone and anyone.
Britt completed her first training (RYT-200) with Vinyasa Yoga School, in Rishikesh, India. Being immersed in the "Old World" during the month and a half she spent living in the town along the banks of the Ganga helped deepen her own physical and spiritual practice. Her second training was completed (RYT-300) with Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja California Sur, Mexico. She spent a month living in a tent beside the Pacific Ocean, delved deeper into her personal and teaching practice, and took more away from the training she could have ever imagined, life long friends included.
Britt's passion for teaching comes from the look on her students faces when they wake up from a nice long Savasana, which ends every yoga class. "Their eyelids are heavy, big yawns come from their mouths. Their shoulders drop lower, they move slower. Their face is relaxed and soft. You know that parasympathetic nervous system has taken over. If someone can feel any part of that when they leave my class, I've done my job. These days, we all need more of that, and I am so grateful to be able to guide someone to that state."
